Sorry it has taken me so long to get you some directions, but here is a map that I had made and photographed for you. I think they can read it: our address is 186 Oyster Lane, Hubert, NC if they have a GPS it will get them to the right street. Be sure to come on down the street to the For Sale sign in front of 2 white brick columns and the Oyster Point sign in our front yard.

OOPS Annual IPAP Worldwide Paint Out Sept 15 & 16 in Downtown New Bern.
IN A NUTSHELL FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT NEED ALL THE DETAILS: September's Paint Out for OOPS will be our annual involvement with the Washington, New Bern, Carteret, and Oriental Plein Air groups. As in past years we will all converge on the centrally located town of New Bern ( anywhere in the downtown historic district). The event will take place Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th, 2012. There is NO set schedule... simply agree to paint on one or both days to help promote the tradition of plein air painting worldwide.

WHAT: OOPS! September 2012 Paint Out in conjunction with the 10th Annual International Plein Air Painters WORLDWIDE "Paint Out." International Plein Air Painters is a blanket organization created for the sole purpose of advancing the execution and enjoyment of plein air painting without the restrictions and limitations of borders or regions.
WHEN: Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 10:00am until...
and Sunday, September 16, 2012 from 10:00am until
WHERE: Historic District of Downtown New Bern, North Carolina on the waterfront at Union Point Park. Of course you can paint anywhere you'd like in New Bern.
NOTE FROM BERNIE: The OOPS bunch will participate again this year in the IPAP Worldwide Paint Out to promote the tradition of plein air painting in our area. We will join forces with anyone wishing to join in on the fun in New Bern this year. Please make sure you photograph yourself, your setting, and your painting to share on IPAP's facebook page after the event. I encourage group photos whenever possible. During this event you are basically on your own since it is hard to organize as a group or limit ourselves to one location in New Bern. Please be able to explain the purpose of the Worldwide Paint Out and what Plein Air painting is in general to the public if they should ask. There are plenty of places to eat in the area with public restrooms at the park.
WHY: To support IPAP's devotion to promoting the tradition of plein air painting WORLDWIDE!

OOPS! JULY 2012 Paint Out... Sunday July 29th in Swansboro!
WHAT: OOPS!
JULY 2012 Paint Out organized by Mitchell Morton.
WHAT ELSE... Bring your lawn chairs and the rest of the family because our cool "What else" planned for this month is that after the paint out there will be a free concert at the new outdoor pavilion in Swansboro (just down the street) beginning at 6:30 pm. The concert on that day will be performed by Wild Honey doing country/blues music. Click HERE for Free Summer Concert listing.
Mitchell Morton has organized the event and we'll be right on the water with a summer breeze to break the heat. Ray Voelpel at Tidewater Gallery has been kind enough to let us use the open lawn behind his gallery which is spacious and loaded with awesome plein air painting possibilities. Restaurants and public restrooms are all within walking distance.
