Our own charter member and co-founder, Stephen Greer, will be teaching a plein air workshop on May 10th with TREES as the main focus! Call Connie at the Council... limited space left!
COUNCIL FOR THE Arts hosts a Plein Air Painting class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 10 at Miracle Meadows with artist Stephen Greer. Painting tree in respect to the environment. Cost $15 advance. Call 910-455-9840.

Directions... Traveling on Highway 17, just NORTH of the city of Jacksonville, turn onto the southernmost intersection of Kellum Loop Road; proceed approximately one-tenth mile and turn left onto Ramsey Road; proceed one mile; Miracle Meadows is on the right .........; turn onto Catino Farms Lane and continue past the pond to the barn.
There are a variety of subjects to paint... Old farm house, country lanes, pond, barns, and HORSES. If it rains we will paint from inside the barn... :) Thanks Dean!

What an AWESOME life class!
Simone was an awesome model at our annual "Life Class" for the Onslow Outdoor Painters Society... we had a live model and a still life studio set up for the event. January 26, 2014.

OOPS "Life Class Paint Out this Sunday (Jan 26) from Noon until 4:30pm.
Dear OOPS artists...
GREAT NEWS... I have secured a live model for our life class next Sunday. Her name is Simone. She will do a seated long pose from 12:30 to 4:30 with breaks each hour. We are asking for a minimum $5 tip per artist for her services. A simple still life will be set up in the Jean Wenner Studio #1 for those who prefer to paint a still life from life.

REMINDER: Artwork for Onslow County Museum Exhibit due soon....
Dear OOPS Artists...
This is just a reminder that your artwork for the upcoming Onslow County Museum art exhibit, "Rivers, Streams, and Marshes," is due to Connie Wenner at the Council for the Arts by 4 pm on January 17th. Each OOPs artist may submit one piece, framed and ready to hang with wire hanger to Connie.

OOPS January 2014 Paint Out Tradition Continues... Life Class set for the 26th.
Make plans to join the OOPS artists as we move inside where it's warm for our annual January "Life Class" paint out...
Like last year, this year we will be painting a "Still Life" from life. This will be a great learning experience for us all as we hone our skills of observation and application.... oh yea... and to FELLOWSHIP!
