I was just made aware that the New River Palooza event that we are planning to paint at tomorrow has been cancelled due to smoke from the nearby forest fire. They hope to do it at a later time.

At this point I think it best that we cancel our June paint out due to the air quality alerts that are out as a result of the fire.
Let's stay healthy and paint another day!
See you in the field on July 24th!

Just a reminder that our June Paint Out is set by the New River tomorrow (Saturday, June 25th)... details HERE...
Mark your calendar for Sunday, July 24th, 2011 for our JULY PAINT OUT... Dean has a great location set with a COOK-OUT to boot! He will send details out soon and we'll publish them here... as for now... save the date!
Al Potts (organizer for the annual Banks Party) dropped by to say thanks to all the artists who participated in the Banks Party Paint Out last month... he wanted me to pass his appreciation for OOPS on to everyone!

June Paint Out set for Saturday, June 25, 2011, for the New River Paloosa
Sorry about getting this out so late... summer school is kicking my butt! I need a few people to step up and plan our paint outs for July and August (asap) or we may have to cancel them. We have never had to do that and we don't want that to happen! It's simple... pick a Sunday date for the month, pick a spot in Onslow County to gather and paint, get permission to paint there, and let me know and I'll post it on this blog. Thanks!
Bernie
