WHAT: OOPS! March2013 Paint Out organized by Bernie Rosage.

WHEN: Sunday, March 17, 2013 from Noon until... Celebrate St. Patrick's Day by wearing GREEN and painting with us!

WHERE: Freedom Fountain and City Hall Building across from the Council for the Arts building, 826 New Bridge Street, Downtown Jacksonville, NC 28540. Restrooms available at the Council and Gas Station. Parking available at the Council.

WHY: Simply put... we LOVE gathering with like minded artists and painting outside!

THERE'S MORE: We may go out afterwards to The Kettle for a Dutch-treat dinner and open critique and/or discussion about our paintings.

Newbies welcome... all mediums and skill levels... simply show up with your gear and be prepared to have fun! No worries... there are NO art-snobs in our group!

All County Arts!

Artists... Bernie Rosage Jr., Stephen Greer, Mitchell Morton and Janet Nickle had the honor of working with over 40 of the best high school artists in Onslow County. We gave a "painting from life" workshop in four different 1 hour 45 minute "break out" sessions. The event is called "All County Arts" and brings together the best artists from each high school in the county for a weekend of collaboration and workshops to celebrate these young artists and promote the arts in our community. The event is headed up by Janae Copeland, Education Coordinator for Arts in the Onslow County Schools, and all the Onslow County high school art teachers. They did a GREAT job in organizing this event which is in its fourth year.

Onslow All County Art Students Workshop

Great opportunity for newbies to drop and look on as several OOPS artists give a "painting from life" workshop to groups of the All County Visual Artists high school students of Onslow County. This is our fourth year helping these students and promoting life painting while giving of our talents and time. We encourage as many OOPS members to join us as possible... the teaching portion will be handled by a select few but all members can help by example and giving individual attention to art students.... whatever you feel comfortable with. If you want to be a part of something very rewarding... you will not want to miss this one! The past events were huge successes!!

"Still Life" Paint Out was a BLAST!

We had a great time and great turn out for our annual indoor "life class." This year we set up several still life's and everyone had a great time and did awesome paintings. We also had some new faces! Here are the photos from the paint out...

Sorry it has taken me so long to get you some directions, but here is a map that I had made and photographed for you. I think they can read it: our address is 186 Oyster Lane, Hubert, NC if they have a GPS it will get them to the right street. Be sure to come on down the street to the For Sale sign in front of 2 white brick columns and the Oyster Point sign in our front yard.
